A remarkable specimen of beryl showing gemmy blue atop a rich pink body, which is a color pattern we do not often see. This specimen, from a small find of early 2014, is actually doubly-terminated with some elongated crystal tips extending at the bottom-right. The top termination is complete, though contacted and diagonal at the left edge. The crystal is thin, and so it backlights very well (4 cm across but at the termination it is 1 to 1.5 cm thick, and so light comes through readily and makes it highlight the blue zone).
