Representative and excellent, this old-time specimen of Galena on chert is from the Kenora Mine, a lesser-known locality in the Tri-State district. The sharp, splendent crystal is your classic 'fortification' habit: a modified cube with stepped, cuboctahedral overgrowths. Associated are numerous, gemmy, mm-size Sphalerites, all on chert. A very good combination thumbnail with nice aesthetics.
