This gemmy aquamarine crystal is technically doubly-terminated, even though both terminations show natural etching and have a "spiky" look to them. But what makes this crystal so special is not its quality anyway; it is the spessartine garnet floating dead-center inside of it, and very clearly visible! The spessartine grew on the surface of the aquamarine early in its growth, and then was engulfed as the aqua grew later.
