Aragonite is rare and is rarely available from the renowned, old iron mines at Frizington, Cumbria. This is a sharp, interesting obelisk of tan, translucent aragonite. The primary crystal is pristine. Classic, seldom available material from this historic locale and comes with an expertly handwritten, faded label from an older collection. The collection this came out of was a museum stash dating to prior to World War I.
