A large, rich and very old English calcite specimen, STUDDED with fine crystals! Some are short and stubby, and others are more elongated and prismatic. They have pyramidal terminations, and a wonderful shiny luster. Inclusions in the smaller underlying crystals give them a dark brown color which provides a pretty contrast for the larger crystals that came later. Ex. Charles Pennypacker Collection, over 100 years ago.
