A classic, old-time cabinet specimen of nearly solid sharply crystallized copper from the Champion Mine of Michigan. Spinel-twins (some very elongated) and tetrahexahedral crystals comprise this very fine and rich specimen. The crystals have a very nice patina. Every turn of this fine old-timer presents an entirely different view of sharply crystallized copper. The Champion Mine had a long history, opening in 1899 and finally closing in 1967. Weighs 856 grams or nearly 1.9 pounds. Ex. Dennis Mullane Collection.
