The superb, deep, honey color of the Calcites is one of the signature traits of this combination piece from the A.L. Davis Mine. The highly lustrous and translucent Calcites, which average over 2 cm, beautifully cover the Fluorite and Sphalerite matrix like a dense garden of flowers. The gemmy Fluorites have glassy luster and excellent yellow and purple zoning. Both the Calcites and the Fluorites fluoresce. From one of the smaller locations, this rare specimen with good aesthetics has a lot going for it. Mined in the mid-1960's - an older piece for the district. RCL1997
