China has been one of the most productive countries for new material over the last 10 years. The quantity and quality of the finds in China have been remarkable. The finest contemporary green Pyromorphites available right now are those from the Daoping mine in China. I was told that the section of the mine that produced these pieces is now closed and may never again produce these superb Pyromorphites. This specimen is a beautiful miniature consisting sharp, lustrous, attractive bright apple green color, hoppered crystals with minor "tuft"-like secondary overgrowths on the terminations. The color is truly superb, and about as bright a green color as I have seen in Pyromorphite from any locality.
