Wulfenites from the Hilltop Mine of Arizona are highly desirable, but have never been common. Large cabinet specimens, such as this, are especially rare. Translucent, moderately lustrous, butterscotch-colored, wulfenite crystals to 1.0 cm are richly scattered on the quartz-rich matrix. The wulfenites have sharp, beveled edges. Classic, old-time material from the Mullane Collection. Most specimens came out in the 1890s to World War I era with only a trickle after. This is certainly the classic style, presumably then from the 1900 era.
