For an old classic, this is big and has good color, for this ancient Russian gem mining location. Perfect for a museum exhibit or any reference collection, this is big and imposing, and inexpensively priced for the impact because it has not a sharp termination because it grew against the matrix in the pocket. A large and showy emerald crystal is emplaced in schist. It exhibits good luster and translucence with a rich emerald green color saturation. The mass of the crystal is 58 grams.
