What is most distinguished about this specimen is how this large, nearly double-terminated, mostly transparent Aquamarine crystal is showcased by two accent groups of silvery, curvaceous Muscovite crystals on the outside and a smattering of small, jet-black Schorl Tourmaline crystals on the inside! Aquamarine singles themselves are admittedly at some level a dime a dozen but this has a unique and strange visual impact, in person, with the color and luster accents. The Aquamarine itself is gemmy for the top inch and translucent to transparent through to the bottom! It is distinctly terminated by a prominent flat pinacoid face at the top that shows only one small, pyramidal face as a modification and then the bottom is a rehealed termination that happened during rupture in the pegmatite pocket. The faces are sharp and very lustrous with very precise edges everywhere. There is essentially damage to the crystal with only a minor amount of internal crazing and the tiniest amount micro edge wear in places. This is a gorgeous Pakistani Aqua specimen. Quite different from most.
