This eye-catching, impressively gemmy Morganite is glassy, has very good pink color, and is transparent. The terminations are smooth and glassy, while the prism faces are either glassy or frosted and beveled, creating a beautiful contrast. This is not unusual for Morganites, particularly from Afghanistan, and the contact on the bottom is actually healed so the piece is a total floater, complete all around! The mass of this gemmy Morganite is a significant 216 grams. This is an impressive and desirable Morganite for color, size, and gemminess - hard to get in this quality today at such a price, even in Afghanistan. Better in person, even. An old specimen from the Obodda dealer inventory of the early 2000s.
