This 360-degree specimen is an unusual, sceptered aquamarine of dramatic form. Herb Obodda brought it out of Pakistan decades ago, and kept it in his major core collection of Pakistani and Afghani miniatures and small cabinet pieces. It is, to me, one of the most famous and immediately recognizable aquamarine specimens of all aqua singles, having been exhibited in Herb's collection at shows and museums for many occasions. Actually, it is even more fine in that it is a doubly-terminated floater, complete all around and on the bottom as well (save one small ding on the bottom termination). This is one of the major gem crystals from the Pakistani suite of the Obodda collection, in significance if not in size. Price on Request. Joe Budd photos.
