A very beautiful, elegant crystal with a shiny, metallic cobaltian coating to it that is unlike any I have seen. Normally, you ge tpik calcites. This is pink, true, but not all the way through. Only the surface layer seems to be cobalt-rich, and that in itself is unusual. The result, for some reason, is this metallic shimmering effect. Associated is dark green malachite for just the right touch of accent! This is NOT cheap and not a bargain admittedly; but then again, its a fair price I think for something so rare and beautiful, and so unique a miniature of this material, that came out of the ground (as most did) over 15 years ago in the late 1980s. I have seen a lot of them, but none with quite this look to it.
