Danburites from Afghanistan are uncommon, and they only come from this locality there. Not only that, but the habit and color is quite unusual. This gemmy and lustrous Danburite looks far more like a Topaz, not only for its golden color but for its complex termination. It is an excellent, highly unususal Danburite with good aesthetics and importance for the quality and location. Most people could not puzzle out what this is if put in front of them, I expect!
