Nestled in a vug of massive, black, goethite are brilliantly lustrous, gemmy, red crystals of rhodochrosite, the largest of which is 3 cm in length. In many ways the rhodochrosite from Uchucchacua resembles the super N'Chwaning rhodos. This one has a gorgeous pocket, tucked and protected right in the middle of the contrasting geothite matrix! very DRAMATIC, especially for the price!
