A pair of predominant, deep blue-black color modified octahedral Spinel crystals from this well known Russian locality sit atop dark green Diopside/Hedenbergite matrix. There are several smaller Spinel crystals on the matrix as well. The larger crystals are very well formed, and have a soft satin-like luster. Ex. Richard Kosnar Collection.
