This is a truly spectacular, old time English Calcite specimen consisting of dozens of sharp, gemmy, translucent/gemmy "dog-tooth" habit scalenohedral crystals with beautiful inclusions of reddish Hematite creating a very eye-catching cabinet size display piece. The crystals are just bursting out 3-dimensionally in all directions and the piece is essentially crystallized all the way around, showing no matrix from the display side though it remains underneath. Most of the crystals are pristine and the specimen displays very well from several angles. This specimen came out in the late 1800s. Ex. Richard Kosnar Collection.
