Big, dramatic calcite crystals with surface inclusions of iron impurities giving them this dazzling bright orange color. This specimen from the classic Orange Pocket at the Delta Carbonate Quarry in York County, where the iron impurities made the crystals in this pocket unlike any others. The crystals are translucent, and measure to a whopping 6 cm. Ex George Feist collection.
