Multiple sprays of gem Aquamarine crystals on white Microcline matrix from Erongo. One elongate cluster and one smaller spray of totally gem, sky-blue Aquamarine crystals from 1 to 2.2cm in length make up both clusters and all of the Aquamarines have a glassy luster. Each of these charming gem crystals are prismatic with a hexagonal in outline. The cluster on the left consists of no less than a dozen Aquamarine crystals and the larger group on the right no less than two dozen! Their contrast on the snow-white Microcline is striking. The Microcline itself has been strongly etched and has, in part, recrystallized to tiny, sparkling Microcline crystals or possibly another Feldspar. A single, jet-black, partial, Schorl Tourmaline can be found on the left side toward the bottom. Ex. Shields and Frances Flynn collection with label.
