Neptunite is a rare titanium mineral that occurs, at its best, from this famous benitoite locality. Not only is this a fine example with a 2.5 cm long (one inch!), doubly terminated neptunite crystal smack in the middle of a contrasting white matrix BUT it also hosts one of the sharpest and largest crystals you will ever see of a far more rare titanium species, joaquinite. Joaquinite crystals are extremely uncommon - even when they exist are sub-millimeter. This is eye visible, and is a large single crystal for what it is (just under 2 mm). Exchanged from the private collection of a friend and dealer, this is a rare combo indeed.
