Lengenbach Quarry is a world-famous metamorphosed arsenic sulphosalt/sulphide deposit, with a wide array of minerals deposited on sugary Triassic Dolomite, including Dolomite crystals themselves. These excellent crystals have a more flattened habit, with a trigonal pattern of faces (think 'Mercedes') and a sharp triangular face at the center of the termination. The crystals are gemmy, with an attractive, silky luster and shimmering interior from the internal reflections of the light. It is much better in person compared to the pics, as the coloration is so uniform. This is a quality specimen, and Dolomite crystals of this size (up to 2.2 cm) from Lengenbach are quite uncommon.
