A SUPERB, old-time specimen in an old glass-top Smithsonian box of rich, yellow cadmium smithsonite pseudomorphs after saddle-shaped dolomite crystals from the famous Philadelphia Mine at Rush, Arkansas. The crystals lie on a brecciated, silicified limestone matrix. Dr. Gary Hansen obviously made a trade with the Smithsonian in the 1960s or early 1970s. The minimal amount of damage is certainly not detracting from this very fine and showy piece. 7.2 x 5.5 x 5.2 cm
