A classic and very fine Calcite specimen from the Tsumeb Mine. This striking, trifurcated specimen features three curving clusters of highly lustrous and glassy, stepped-growth Calcite rhombs that are intergrown along each limb. The gemmy crystals, the largest of which are over 2 cm across, are tinted a slight tan. Aside from the attachment point at the base, there is only one cleave on the specimen to go with a little bit of tiny bruising. The color is so uniform that getting good definition in the photos was difficult. Easily an order of magnitude better in person than the pics. A fine and classic piece.
