A rich, lustrous specimen of deep butterscotch-colored mimetite, from the classic Mexican mimetite locality of Santa Eulalia - NOT from Mina Ojuela in Durango state. This is much rarer! Mimetites from Mexico came out over the years in all sorts of shades (including the GREEN ones we got recently!). The best-known ones are bright yellow. This is an unusual color, rich and pretty.and notably more crystallized in wheat-sheave bundles than the typical Ojuela material which is more common on the market. 1960s-1970s classics.
