This specimen, along with the following 6 pieces, represents a new find of stilbite, from India, found last fall and really quite sensational as they are about the reddest color I have seen in the species (you have seen red heuldanite, yes...but NOT red stilbite before, I think?!). The matrix is basalt, from which emanate lustrous terra-cotta-red crystals of translucent, lustrous, stilbite, the largest of which is a diverging spray, 2.5 cm across. Vivid!
