This is a rare specimen. I have seen only 3 from this pocket turn up again in the last several years. The find is called the 'Red Phantom Pocket" for obvious reasons, and I think it was in the late 1980s. This small pocket featured stunning red-phantomed crystals due to hematite inclusions, found in a mine famous for mono-colored yellow and shades-of-yellow calcites. This is a superb cluster, with a major crystal nearly 7 cm tall, and complete all around. The luster is very wet-looking and good for the pocket and the mine both.
