A colorful specimen with deep green Dioptase inclusions twinkling inside Calcite rhombohedra. The inclusions are oriented along several planes of the crystal such that they leave a rim of clear Calcite around the included areas, except the center of some crystal faces where the inclusions do surface. These exposures add great visual contrast, and are mineralogically interesting. The largest Calcite rhomb is 1.7 cm on edge, and the Calcite has a rich pinkish-red fluorescence. There is some minor bruising, but the overall aesthetics are excellent. Even better in person. 1980's vintage.
