This rare pseudomorph features a sharp, 1 cm Cuprite that has been replaced by Shattuckite, nestled attractively in matrix. The crystal is a perfect dodecahedron with sharp edges and faces, especially for a pseudomorph. The crystal is largely a teal-blue color with tiny patches of light blue-green, and it contrasts well with the powder blue-green Shattuckite matrix. The color and textural contrast is distinct and the pseudomorph is centrally positioned well on the top of the piece, you really could not ask for a better placement as a sophisticated specimen. A second crystal pseudo is poking through the side of the piece! These pseudomorphs were never common and they rarely come up for sale. This was in the Charlie Key Collection when purchased by myself and Marshall Sussman many years ago.
