Choice old plate of intergrown Galena crystals from the Segen Gottes Mine in the Black Forest. The modified cuboctahedrons are sharp and in remarkably good condition, with only a small amount of edge wear. The metallic luster is very good! The largest of the Galenas is slightly over 2 cm. Certainly a rare specimen considering its age and beauty! ex Herb Obodda to Kay in 1989, so between these two German mineral experts, I think we have two of the big three USA-based collectors of German classics.
