This is a truly great Kazakhstan Calcite from finds in the mid-1990s. This gemmy, transparent, relatively complex, pale yellow, very lustrous Calcite crystal is an excellent example from these finds and is on a sliver of matrix which is uncommon for these! The matrix is dusted with an earlier generation of tiny Calcite crystals. This GEM twin of Calcite is complete all around, 360 degrees, and essentially free of damage save two tiny nicks and is so transparent one can see the matrix through the crystal. It exhibits extremely sharp complex crystal growth showing the merging of penetration twins in the front display face.
