A most excellent example of Tsumeb Mottramite! Mottramite is a secondary lead-copper vanadate and Tsumeb has arguably produced some of the best of species with the Ojuela Mine in Mexico a close second. The piece shows a myriad of very well defined, glistening, spheroidal growths of variegated medium and dark green Mottramite on a granular massive, gray-white Quartz matrix. The Mottramite botryoids are accented by a single, small, off-white Calcite rhomb. There is some minor bruising to a few of the Mottramite spheres on the display face that show the internal radial fibrous habit and a tiny ding on the Calcite. This is a very good Tsumeb Mottramite and it could be displayed in a few orientations.
