This is one of the best specimens I am aware of from a very small recent find in Hubei Province, and really a spectacular calcite by any standards. The whopper 8.5-cm crystal is complete all around, and perched perfectly on a natural "base" of small scalenohedral calcites. The crystals from this find are distinguished by hematite inclusions. This fine crystal has TOP luster and fine gemminesss, with sharp faces all the way around except for just one small rear face which seems to be a natural smooth crystal contact plane. It is complete and undamaged. 9 x 8 x 7 cm
