When it comes to Aquamarine, Pakistan is the most productive country for specimens in the modern age of mineral collecting. Some of the very finest quality Aquamarine specimens come from the various pegmatites in the Paki Himalayas, especially in the Shigar Valley. This specimen is a very good quality, sharp, crystal with a GEM quality termination, glassy luster and a typical "Aqua" blue color for a piece this size. A few accenting, white Feldspar crystals on the back of the piece make for a very attractive overall display piece.
