A very RARE SPECIMEN of cavansite perched on this odd matrix, which seems to be a powdery yet solid acrystalline zeolite (mordenite?) coating small crystals of stilbite and the basalt matrix. It looks like somebody took a neon blue marker and colored a ball, and simply stuck it on white flour! The contrast is striking, obviously, and more dramatic than on almost any other cavansite specimens I know of. I have seen just half a dozen specimens from this pocket over the years, and this particular one I first saw about 6 years ago when I sold it to a good customer of mine at the time they came out. 8.5 x 8 x 3.5 cm
