An exquisite miniature from this classic occurrence in the US, formed from solution in water, in a cave environment. Few are so perfect as this one in form and symmetry. In 1998, I obtained most of John Barlow's suite of these (one of the best groups of Florida calcites ever put together), and I can say this compares equally with his best miniatures. It was illustrated In THE CALCITE ISSUE of the Extra-Lapis series, as well, so that tells you something about how representative it is for tops of the find!
