This fluorite is special in its appearance, and probably more impactful in person. It has a 3-dimensionality to it, hard to convey. So far as I know, there were only 3 pieces in this small, special pocket. Absolutely dazzling Fluorite on Quartz from the Yaogangxian Mine, China. Sharp, transparent, purple and blue, complex, stepped Fluorite on a small plate translucent white Quartz crystals for remarkable contrast in color and texture! This stepped Fluorite crystal is dominated by the cube with minor octahedral modifications on the edges. The zoning of this gemmy, complex Fluorite begins with a dark purple core in each of the compounded crystals followed immediately by a light blue, transparent zone comprising much of the body of this composite crystal followed by a subsequent transparent, medium purple outer zone that hosts a dusting of tiny, brassy yellow Pyrite crystals sparsely disseminated on the surface. Complexity with aesthetics! There is a small ding at the apex of the crystal with some contacting on one side and the back. From a small find Yaogangxian in 2017, which I bought shortly after it was mined, from the miner's relatives.
