This is one of the most floral (bud-like, if you will) specimens I have ever seen. The Naples-yellow Calcites form perfect clusters - comprised of numerous smaller crystals ringing a larger, central crystal. They look so much like the unopened petals of a flower bud, though there are any number of plant-like descriptors you can put to this. The pics show just how elegant and aesthetic these Calcites really are. Mined in 1993. RCL0324
