The historic mines at Cavnic, Romania have produced a wide variety of well-crystallized mineral species and this fine combination piece is certainly one of them. Highly lustrous, lightly iridescent, pyramidal, brass-yellow chalcopyrite crystals to 2.4 cm are the highlight of this fine piece. Lustrous, striated, black sphalerite crystals and colorless, translucent calcite crystals round out this classic combination piece. Ex. Tarnowski Collection.
