Fine wulfenite specimens from the Stevenson-Bennett mine are exceedingly uncommon on the market and supposedly these large crystals date to the early 1900s (around 1910) and artisanal mining here. This great old- timer features a cluster of tabular, slightly lustrous and translucent, caramel colored crystals to 3 cm across, almost all of which exhibit secondary growth at their crystal centers. Not the most lustrous or colorful wulfenite in the Southwest of the US, but it is what it is - important for New Mexican minerals. It is a robust, and display-worthy specimen from a rare location one seldom sees for sale.
