A large, sharp, glassy, orthorhombic prism of natrolite with a secondary coating of heulandite microcrystals from the Chimney Rock Quarry at Bound Brook, New Jersey. This fine crystal is doubly terminated and is from the trap rocks (basalt flows) of the First Watchung Mountains. Complete-all-around and pristine. This is likely an older specimen and it is superb for the gemminess, clarity, and sheer size. Ex. Robert Whitmore Collection. Unusual in this size with no repairs.
