A single find in the early 1990s of these translucent to transparent, elegant inesite blades, is still considered by many people to be the best of species. Only a few contenders from modern Chinese finds could match - and they are of entirely different habit and form. This colorful specimen displays well all around, and sparkles in the lights of a showcase, due to all the reflective crystal faces with glassy luster - a luster which is highly unusual in this species and UNIQUE to specimens from this pocket, to my knowledge!. Crystals form rosettes, to 1cm across, of parallel growth, tabular, lustrous and translucent pinwheels on matrix. This specimen dates from the first major find of inesite here in 1992. I have not seen a specimen of this quality from this pocket for sale in many years. It was originally in the noted collection of F John Barlow, which was sold in 1999. I handled this piece long ago, shortly after that sale, and got it back recently.
