The granite stock at Klein Spitzkopje is well-known for its Topaz specimens, but this specimen far exceeds many that I have seen. Not only is it exceptionally large (a whopping 133 grams of pure Topaz), but it is a light blue color that is quite attractive without the need for treatment (much of the original London Blue topaz was Namibian, treated to enhance the color). This euhedral crystal has faces that range from smooth and transparent to frosted, but certainly clear enough for the gemminess of the crystal to be appreciated. A very good, and quite uncommon, Topaz that is seldom available. Better yet in person.
