This comes from one of the classic old mining regions in the Urals, worked as far back as the 1700s. Complete all around, this 3-dimensional Copper is sharp and intricate. The Copper crystals, with their fine, rich patina, are in a herringbone pattern on one side, and hoppered crystals on the other. Almost certainly there is prevalent spinel twinning, and this choice toenail has a larger, 7 mm Copper at the top. Sharp and aesthetic, this is an excellent Copper mined over a hundred years ago. Previously in the collection of Austrian collector and dealer Anton Berger.
