Witherite is an English mineral classic first, but some would argue that a FEW USA specimens rival and surpass those old English crystals with their distinctive pointy terminations. This cluster is absolutely superb, with the largest crystal being 4 cm tall and 3.6 cm across, demonstrating a classic spread-wide form atop that is typical of the best Minerva Mine witherites, although rarely seen in aesthetic specimens. All the Witherites are translucent and well-terminated, and they are associated with brassy-green-metallic balls of Marcasite that are highly unusual! This is simply one of the finest Witherites I have seen from anywhere, period, in this size class.
