Beryl (Var: Morganite)
Vivid pink morganites from the White Queen Mine are among the most desirable San Diego County pegmatite mineral species. A large, sharply terminated, partially gemmy morganite is attached to cleavelandite and a bit of quartz. The termination area of this euhedral crystal is very gemmy, as some faces are water-clear and some are frosted. Probably from the 1960s era here. Ex. Rutgers University Collection.
