We have all seen innumerable schorls from the Erongo. However this is a MONSTER! The piece features a single huge crystal standing straight up, which aesthetically flares atop at the termination and weighs about 20 pounds! It has a few sharp, gemmy aquamarines for accent. This is a significant Erongo specimen, and I would even say, for its size and aesthetics, a significant schorl. It is much more impressive in person, as the jet black color and luster together do not translate well for the camera lens. From the Sussman collection of Namibian minerals, by exchange in 2012.
