Gemmy and lustrous, yellow-green mimetite prisms to 5 mm richly cover 2 and 1/2 sides of the mounded sulfide matrix on this fine specimen from the Tsumeb Mine. Very attractively, many of the mimetite crystals have a preferential overgrowth of rust-red iron oxides. The scattered bruising is very minimally detracting and actually reveals, that the red color is a coating. Ex. Charles Hansen Collection.
