Arsenopyrite as a species usually does not give us surprises as collectors but this recent pocket of spectacular specimens is notable, even amongst previous finds. Superb, iridescent, peacock-colored Arsenopyrite crystal cluster from the Yaogangxian Mine in China! This handsome miniature has lightly striated Arsenopyrite crystals to just over 2cm in length and are completely bathed in yellow, blue and purple iridescent colors that command attention! It is a well composed and well balanced cluster that is exclusively Arsenopyrite. The bottom of the piece shows the typical metallic, tin-white color of this iron arsenic sulfide. A stunner! From a small find at the end of 2019.
