A jewel-like calcite specimen of glassy luster, transparency, and striking brightness, from the classic mines here that hit their heyday in the late 1800s. This fine specimen has crystals to 1.5 inches or 3.5 cm, and is nearly pristine. This is likely 100 years old and is a fine example of this classic calcite style from England. From an old private collection.
